On Wednesday, April 20th 2011 at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Hradec Kralove took place an Easter Concert of the Czech Boys Choir with soprano Catherine Redding from Ireland, Philharmonic Orchestra Hradec Kralove, choirmaster Jakub Martinec and conductor Andreas Sebastian Weiser.
„Great sopranos, balanced choir, it’s really the world level,“ said Dr. Jiri Skopal in the interview for Czech Radio. „I admired the flexibility of the choir, because they don’t know me as a conductor, they are used to their own choi master. But immediately they adapt to a really professional cooperation, we enjoyed it,“ said conductor Andreas Sebastian Weiser.
Part of the concert was also the collection of Salvation Army for Japan. Guests and parents of the singers added to the money withheld by the Salvation Army another 24.039, – CZK. To Japan is going now nearly 2 million CZK.
